CRT Advocates and Friends,
More good CRT news to share just one short week after the NCART/NRRTS Virtual Congressional Fly-In. A sign-on letter to CMS regarding power seat elevation and standing systems coverage is now being circulated in the Senate in addition to the House sign-on letter introduced last week. The Senate letter is being led by Sens. Duckworth (D-IL), Blackburn (R-TN), and Casey (D-PA) and is open for Senators to sign through September 30.
The letter, which can be read here, thanks CMS for moving forward in the process for power seat elevation systems. Most importantly, it requests a timeline for coverage determination of power seat elevation systems as well as opening the comment period for power standing systems.
Now is the time for CRT advocates to take action. We need your help getting signatures on both letters in order to send a strong message to CMS. Click HERE to email your Members of Congress asking them to sign on or visit www.protectmymobility.org for more details.
Let's all work together to keep the process moving forward to establish Medicare coverage for this important technology. Email your Members of Congress today and encourage other advocates to do the same!
