This PA requirement goes into effect in the states of Illinois, Missouri, New York, and West Virginia for dates of service of March 20 or after. The PA requirement will expand nationwide in July. The two codes impacted are K0856 (Group 3 Standard Power Wheelchair with Single Power Option) and K0861 (Group 3 Standard Power Wheelchair with Multi Power Option).
