As mentioned in the presentation, House bill H.R. 6641 has been introduced by Reps. Paul Tonko (D-NY) and Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) and would provide a much-needed adjustment to Medicare reimbursement rates for certain Home Medical Equipment (HME). These adjustments are critically necessary to address the increased product costs and operational expenses that are being incurred by providers nationwide. Advocates can visit the American Association for Homecare webpage here to send an email to Congress sharing the impacts of rising costs and ask for needed support of this important legislation.
