CRT Advocates and Friends,
We have made progress on securing signatures to the House and Senate sign-on letters that urge CMS to move quickly in the process of establishing Medicare coverage of power seat elevation and standing systems for complex wheelchairs. The Senate letter was finalized on Friday, September 30 and can be viewed here.
Representatives Jim Langevin (D-RI), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Debbie Dingell (D-MI), and John Rose (R-TN) have extended the deadline for the House letter to this Thursday, October 6 (previously October 3). This extension gives Congressional offices more time to review the letter and gives us several more days to encourage Representatives to sign on.
The current list of 68 House signers can be viewed here. If your House Representative's name is not on that list, now is the time to take action! You can either email your Representatives directly (if you have been in contact with them or their staff) or use the link at www.protectmymobility.org to ask them to sign on.
Your personal outreach is critical and will help get more Representatives signed on so we send a strong message of Congressional support to CMS. Thanks for being an active advocate for Complex Rehab Technology!
