September 29, 2017 CRT Stakeholders and Friends, We are happy to report that the ITEM Coalition, representing national consumer and clinician groups, has sent a letter to Congress asking them to pass H.R. 3730, the new bill protecting access to accessories used with CRT manual wheelchairs. The letter was signed by 32 organizations and sends a strong message of support for this legislation. You can read the letter here. We thank the ITEM Coalition and its members for their support! It's a very chaotic time in Congress. The CRT community will need to work hard to get this bill passed. We need everyone to go to www.protectmymobility.org and use the email and call links to contact your Representative and get them to sign on as a cosponsor to H.R. 3730. A list of the 43 current cosponsors can be found just below the links on that page. In talking with your Representative's office, be sure to emphasize that this is a new bill focused on CRT manual wheelchair accessories only. This replaces the previous broader bill that related to both CRT power and manual accessories. Thanks for taking action TODAY to contact your Representative and please spread the word to others so they can do the same. Regards, Don Donald E.
